Pianist · Accompanist · Educator
I was deeply passionate about the piano, which led me to pursue professional training at Sookmyung Women's University, where I majored in piano in the Department of Instrumental Music. To further enrich my musical experience, I earned a Diploma (Master Class) from the Dortmund University of Music, refining my artistry through advanced training.
With over 20 years of experience as a pianist, I have performed with the Korea Chamber Opera and at the Gyeong-gi Arts Center, working extensively as an opera and choir accompanist, as well as a church musician. My performances have taken me to prestigious venues such as Lincoln Center in New York and the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts in Korea, and I have also performed in Canada.
I have had the privilege of accompanying productions of Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro, Benjamin Britten’s major operas (The Little Sweep, Noye’s Fludde – Korean premiere), and Pergolesi’s La Serva Padrona. In addition, I have collaborated with the choirs of Hanyang University and Soongsil University, contributing to the success of their choral concerts.
For over 10 years, I have served as a church accompanist, supporting a choir of approximately 60 members. Through these experiences, I have come to cherish the profound connection between music and its audience. Performing has always been my greatest joy, and I hope to share this passion with young musicians, inspiring them with the same deep musical artistry that has guided my own journey.
